Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Managing Director of Business Development to expand strategic client relationships in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting (FLC) segment. The role focuses on leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones among target clients to drive incremental business.

You will develop compelling value propositions, coordinate pitches, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize face time with law firms and public/private sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in legal or professional services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling value propositions for clients within FLC.
• Speak credibly about FLC services to recognize and pursue opportunities.
• Coordinate pitches, presentations, proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Introduce suitable service professionals to prospective clients and opportunities.
• Assist in setting annual goals, budgets, and overall business development strategy.
• Collaborate with other FLC professionals to coordinate client outreach.
• Conduct research on clients, industries, and competitors to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor industry news and economic indicators impacting clients and markets.
• Attend conferences and industry events to expand network.
• Utilize CRM to manage client outreach and track activity.
