Job summary

FTI Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Managing Director, Business Development to focus on strategic client relationships within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting (FLC) segment.

The role aims to leverage existing connections and build new ones to generate incremental business for the firm. You will develop compelling value propositions, coordinate pitches and maintain client outreach across law firms and both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD a plus.
• 10 years of experience in legal or professional services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling value propositions for clients in FLC.
• Speak credibly about all FLC services to recognize and pursue opportunities.
• Coordinate pitches, presentations, proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Introduce best-fit client service professionals to prospective clients.
• Help develop annual goals and budgets and overall business development strategy.
• Collaborate with FLC professionals to coordinate client outreach and maximize face time with target clients.
• Conduct research on clients, industries and competitors to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor industry news and market triggers affecting clients and prospects.
• Network within the industry by attending conferences and events.
• Utilize CRM to maintain records of client relationships and sales activity.
