A leading company in construction products seeks a Training & Development Manager to enhance sales training for new Territory Managers. The role involves developing training programs, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality through continuous evaluation. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in sales training and strong coaching skills.
The Training & Development Manager will identify, implement, benchmark, and improve sales training and performance solutions for all TMs with a value-based sales approach.
Required to work closely with the Director of Sales Training and VP of Sales to develop, launch, and manage appropriate sales training strategies to meet area, regional, and corporate goals and objectives.
Monitors all TM performance and communicates with Sales Managers to determine the best methods of assistance in problem areas.
Assists in the design and development of training programs for Area Sales Managers to support the ongoing education of field personnel.
Ensures the quality of sales training programs through continuous monitoring and evaluation.
Initiates follow-up field rides with new TMs, providing direct on-the-job training and coaching.
Assists in sales hiring as necessary.
Minimum of 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous sales training experience in a complex business environment.
Ability to work with cross-functional groups without direct reporting relationships.
Knowledge of multimedia and audio-visual equipment required.
Extensive experience in developing and delivering sales training programs.
Experience with developing sales-oriented web-based training programs.
Superb listening, writing, and coaching skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
