Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to drive location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. You’ll gain experience across sales, operations, finance, and leadership, with a clear path to management and growth within the company.

The starting wage is $38,480.00 per year or $18.50 per hour, reflecting entry-level management tracks and fast-paced service environments.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time-management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support location sales goals and deliver excellent customer experience.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Support team with vehicle preparation, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how role contributes to/impacts the overall financial wellbeing of the company.
