Job summary

Hertz Local Edition in Denver is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn how to run a rental location while delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily branch operations. This hands-on program includes structured training, real-world experience, and a clear path to promotion to Branch Manager in about 12–18 months, with starting pay of $22 per hour plus incentives.

You’ll gain experience in sales, fleet logistics, and administration, and partner with Branch leadership on scheduling,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
