The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role providing work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management typically occurs within 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance as a management team member
• Support the Store Manager in overall store management, including supervision, policy implementation, financial management, staffing, training, inventory, and customer service
• Complete operations and management training, learn about AutoZone culture, and demonstrate progression in the training program

Note: Promotion to management is not guaranteed and depends on performance and openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual preferred, automotive experience and financial analysis experience are a plus but not required
