Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior QA professional to design and manage comprehensive test plans, oversee testing phases, and drive issue resolution across multiple systems. You will develop automation models, scripts, and tooling while collaborating with program management and development teams to ensure delivery against scope and deadlines.

Required qualifications include advanced degrees with IT experience and hands-on testing using modern tools like Postman, Azure DevOps, and Selenium.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field plus 2 years IT experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive IT experience.
• 1 year IT work experience using Agile test methodology, Postman, Snowflake; Integration/functional testing using Azure DevOps, Selenium, UFT; SCCM, SCOM, Power BI; SOAP UI, Postman, Selenium; or SQL, ETL testing, Python.
• Travel to various US locations as required; travel not to exceed 5% per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans and scenarios and monitor their execution.
• Oversee all phases of the testing process under the direction of a Senior Manager.
• Conduct impact and gap analysis and coordinate issue resolution.
• Oversee software testing and debugging of existing systems.
• Design and develop tools and testing programs to identify issues and create repeatable test automation models.
• Develop test scripts and perform code reviews.
• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for customization.
• Identify software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers.
• Perform independent verification and validation of products produced by the development process.
• Research and log root cause analysis for reported bugs and ensure resolution and final testing.
• Review test cases and scenarios and interpret test results against acceptance criteria.
• Work with program management and development teams to ensure quality and track progress against project scope and delivery dates.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Math, Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience; alternatively, Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in one of these fields plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience


• One (1) year of IT work experience using one of the following skill sets: Agile test methodology, Postman, and Snowflake; Integration and functional testing using Azure DevOps, Selenium, and UFT; SCCM, SCOM, and Power BI; SOAP UI, Postman, and Selenium; or SQL, ETL testing, and Python


• Experience may be acquired concurrently


• Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs


• Travel not to exceed 5% per year


• Ability to work with acceptance, system, integration, program, and module testing processes
