Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software QA Engineer to deliver testing tasks across web and mobile platforms, review test plans, convert designs into test cases, and drive automation efforts.

You will mentor juniors, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with SDET and QA architects to implement best practices and ensure quality releases.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience delivering complex web and mobile projects.
• Hands-on with team tech stack and systems.
• Deliver engineering artifacts including designs and implementations.
• Experience with QA automation using an OO language; Java preferred.
• APIs testing with SOAP, RESTful, and RestAssured.
• Experience with SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience with Selenium and RestAssured.
• Knowledge of TDD/BDD and automated QA.
• Willing to travel for meetings as needed.
• US work authorization; immigration not required.

• Improve automated test code for operational excellence and maintainability.
• Work with customers and internal partners to understand business impacts and technical opportunities/problems.
• Develop testing solutions that meet customer needs and team goals.
• Own hands‑on design, implementation, and support of project components.
• Collaborate with senior SDETs and QA Architects on technical vision and standards.
• Analyze usability/performance tradeoffs and make decisions for team success.
• Solve complex problems by translating them into feasible team‑implementable solutions.
• Create test scenarios based on business and customer needs.
• Participate in design, scoping, prioritization discussions, and Agile ceremonies

Requirements

• 3 years professional experience in the design, delivery, and support of complex projects across web platforms and mobile applications


• Direct hands‑on experience with the specific technologies used in the team’s systems/solutions


• Proven ability to deliver engineering artifacts including designs, algorithms, and implementations


• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Experience applying QA test automation with an object-oriented programming language; Java preferred


• Practical application of API testing tools such as SOAP, RESTful, and Rest Assured


• Experience applying SDLC and testing methodologies


• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and RestAssured


• Working knowledge of fully automated QA, including TDD, BDD, performance, security, integration/compatibility, regression, and functional testing


• Working knowledge of API-Driven Development and systems design


• Experience with enterprise‑level scale and complexity


• Willingness to travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings


• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States


• Must not require immigration support now or in the future
