Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer to design and implement automated test strategies across UI, API, and backend systems. You will translate complex requirements into robust test plans, develop reusable test scripts in Java or C#, and drive quality across cross-functional teams.

In this role you will lead test planning for large features, triage issues, and collaborate with developers and managers to ensure acceptance criteria and compliance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation framework experience at an organizational level.
• Proficient in Java or C#.
• Experience with REST API testing using POSTMAN.
• Experience with UI automation frameworks.
• Interpret functional requirements and designs to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans.
• Build reusable automation tests/test scripts using Java.
• Execute and evaluate automated test cases and report test results.
• Review GitHub feature files, branching strategy, maintain GitHub branches.

Responsibilities

• Creates a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.)
• Ensures alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders
• Manages test execution and resolves, communicates or escalates any issues that may result in test plan variance
• Designs test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments

Requirements

• Strong Automation Framework hands on with 3+ years of experience in managing organizational level Automation Framework solutions
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java/C#
• Experience with POSTMAN and executing REST API's
• Experience with UI automation frameworks
• Interpret functional requirements and designs to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans.
• Build re-usable automation tests/test scripts using Java
• Execute and evaluate automated test cases and report test results.
• Review github feature files, branching strategy, maintain github branches
