Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior QA lead to oversee software quality assurance across multiple projects for customized business applications. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee system, integration, UAT, and regression testing to ensure release readiness.

Collaborate with senior leadership, PMs, and development teams to address quality risks and defect trends, communicate status through reports, and certify that final deliverables pass independent verification and validation before release.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus 3 years IT testing or related experience.
• Or Bachelor's plus 6 years progressive IT testing experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% and relocation as needed

Job description

• Lead and oversee software quality assurance and testing activities across multiple projects involving customized business applications
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and oversee system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing
• Lead QA efforts to ensure applications meet functional requirements, quality standards, and acceptance criteria before implementation
• Collaborate with senior leadership, project management, and development teams on software quality risks, defect trends, and testing outcomes
• Communicate testing status, quality risks, and remediation progress through reports and status updates
• Ensure final software deliverables undergo appropriate independent verification and validation before release

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Technology, or a related field, plus three (3) years of software development, testing, consulting, or business analysis experience in IT field
• Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Technology, or a related field, plus six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate software development, testing, consulting or business analysis experience in IT field
• One (1) year of IT testing work experience using Selenium, Jenkins, HP ALM, and SOAP UI
• Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs
• Travel not to exceed 5% per year
• International travel not required
