Job summary

Berklee College of Music in Boston is seeking a Manager, Student Success Programs to provide operational leadership, advising, and program coordination across retention portfolios, including the Berklee Scholars Program and the RISE program. You will lead initiatives, manage student advising and persistence, supervise student employees, and collaborate with the office to align goals with budgets and timelines.

Proficiency with Salesforce, Workday, Colleague, and Google Suite is expected.

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in higher education, project management, or event planning.
  • Proven familiarity with enterprise higher education platforms including Salesforce, Workday, Colleague, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to manage complex projects while aligning with office timelines and fiscal goals.

Job Description

The Office of Student Success Programs is seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and student-centered Manager, Student Success Programs. In this role, you will provide operational leadership, advising, and program coordination across our key student retention portfolios, including the Berklee Scholars Program and the RISE program. Leveraging your strengths in communications, event management, or operational analysis, you will drive holistic student persistence and create meaningful community engagement. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.


Key Responsibilities


  • Signature Initiatives: Administer key portfolio programs and events, including Fall Pre-Orientation, monthly programming, and ongoing student engagement initiatives.

  • Functional Leadership: Serve as a functional lead in assigned office domains, such as social media content management, fiscal analysis, or targeted community outreach.

  • Mentorship & Student Leadership: Direct Student Leadership Programs by recruiting, training, and supervising student employees, while co‑leading Faculty/Staff Mentoring initiatives.

  • Data‑Driven Operations: Utilize data and analytics to ensure all portfolio offerings align with departmental goals, managing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications.

  • Student Advising & Persistence: Build strong, supportive relationships with students to guide their transition to and persistence through their academic journey.

  • Proactive Outreach: Employ the Berklee Bridge framework alongside intrusive advising strategies to foster active student engagement and academic momentum.

  • Milestone Alignment: Partner closely with Student Success Advising to co‑lead proactive course registration support and student milestone check‑ins each semester.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of student interactions and progress within Salesforce CRM and other enterprise technology platforms.

Hiring Range: $56,000 to $75,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
