Job description

Partnership Development Representative (PDR)

The Partnership Development Representative is a high-energy, results-driven sales professional

responsible for creating new business opportunities with school districts.

Reporting to the Vice President of Growth, the PDR works closely with Directors of District Partnerships and Partnership Development Executives across assigned territories and service lines.

The primary objective of this role is to book qualified meetings that uncover opportunities to generate revenue. This is a high-activity role for someone who enjoys being on the phone, is motivated by ambitious goals, and does not back down from a challenge. The right person is persistent, self-directed, highly accountable, a natural problem-solver and energized by turning cold outreach into meaningful sales conversations.

This is a remote position with an eight-hour workday built around the business hours of assigned

territories. Compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based incentives tied primarily to sales-accepted meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete a minimum of 50 outbound calls per day following an initial training period.

  • Book qualified meetings for Directors of District Partnerships and Partnership Development Executives.

  • Prospect primarily into special education leadership, while engaging human resources, student services, procurement, and other district stakeholders as needed.

  • Develop new business through outreach to new prospects and former clients that are no longer active.

  • Use both established HubSpot sequences and personalized messaging developed in partnership with the Director or PDE assigned to the same territory.

  • Execute consistent follow-up through calls, emails, and assigned tasks.

  • Maintain accurate and complete prospect, activity, and meeting records.

  • Research assigned territories and service lines to identify priority districts, decision-makers, market conditions, and potential opportunities.

  • Re-engage missed meetings, no-shows, and prospects that require additional follow-up.

  • Participate in sales meetings, pipeline reviews, coaching sessions, and territory-planning discussions.

  • Collaborate with multiple Directors, PDEs, recruiting partners, and operational teams while managing competing priorities.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means consistently generating sales-accepted meetings through disciplined daily outreach, persistent follow-up, strong territory knowledge, and accurate CRM management.

A sales-accepted meeting is one in which the appropriate district decision-maker agrees to meet and there is a credible opportunity to explore services that could generate revenue.

The ideal candidate:

  • Genuinely enjoys high-volume phone outreach

  • Has experience working in special education, education staffing, school-based services, recruiting, or a related field

  • Has demonstrated success in outbound sales, business development, appointment setting, or a similar role

  • Is competitive, persistent, and motivated by measurable results

  • Comfortable navigating gatekeepers, objections, rejection, and unanswered outreach

  • Takes initiative and maintains momentum without needing constant supervision

  • Thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment while remaining personally accountable for results

  • Is organized and disciplined with follow-up, task completion, and documentation

  • Communicates confidently and professionally with school district leaders

  • Is coachable and applies feedback quickly

  • Can support multiple internal partners while staying focused on the primary goal of booking meetings

  • Is excited by performance-based incentives and challenging goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using HubSpot Sales, strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with special education terminology, district structures, and school staffing challenges

  • Experience prospecting within assigned territories or service lines

Compensation and Work Environment:

  • Flexible schedule within an eight-hour workday

  • Work hours should align with the business hours of assigned territories

  • Base salary plus performance-based incentives

  • Collaborative, supportive, and highly accountable team environment
