Job summary

Asurion in Smyrna, TN seeks a Manager of Strategic Initiatives to direct supply chain projects, develop plans, assess risks, train, and communicate across a highly matrixed organization. You will guide cross-functional teams from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality.

Strong collaboration, strategic thinking, and change management are essential. You will frequently interact with senior stakeholders, manage multiple complex projects, and travel up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; PMP certification or equivalent training preferred; equivalent related project management experience is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
  • Strong collaboration and cross functional partnership skills; ability to influence internal colleagues from all business functions.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing medium-to-large scale projects and present complex results to senior levels.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical ability, and financial skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications, including but not limited to MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Asana.
  • Project management skills with the ability to multi-task and concurrently manage multiple complex projects in a cross functional environment
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize and drive initiatives while operating in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Self-starter with strong desire to identify and lead opportunities that drive significant business impact.
  • Experience in supply chain, product management, call center, or financial project management experience and/or business process redesign experience in these areas is a definite plus
  • Little (0-10%) domestic travel required

Overview

The Manager of Strategic Initiatives directs and oversees supply chain projects to ensure new programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. These initiatives are highly cross-functional inside Supply Chain and across the organization. Develops project plans, risk analysis, training plans, communication plans, etc. to ensure project success. Facilitates regular cross-functional team calls, leadership check-ins and accountable for overall initiative success. Oversees all aspects of projects including schedule, adherence to metrics, risks, and communications. Ensures cross-functional team members deliver all work within schedule and to full project scope. Skilled in working in a highly matrixed environment. Experience leading others through influence and aligning team to objectives.
