Job summary

Bayside seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and ensure on-budget, on-time delivery. You will manage multi-million-dollar budgets, coordinate with IT leadership, and steer vendor performance and governance.

Responsibilities include developing plans, tracking milestones, performing risk analysis, communicating status to sponsors and vendors, and applying formal project management methodologies to deliver high-quality outcomes across retail/supply

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years experience in managing projects that are highly complex.
  • PMP credential.
  • Excellent business communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development in the field of project management.
  • Experience with packaged enterprise level applications (Netsuite a plus).
  • Prefer experience in the retail industry.
  • Has relevant knowledgebase in core industry (eg Retail/Supply Chain).
  • Capable of making reliable decisions.

  • Excellent planning & organization skills.
  • Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • Has ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.
  • Responsible for cross programs IT wide initiatives/programs.
  • Works with IT leadership on IT direction for the company.
  • Responsible for strategic vendor management, vendor performance analysis and scorecards.
  • Conducts industry benchmarks.
  • Makes presentations to IT management, sponsors, and/or vendors.
  • Plans and executes pre and post implementation
  • Works on problems/projects of diverse scope and high complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Has ability to use established project management methodologies/tools to develop and execute project plans including – work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, project scope.
  • Responsible for deliverables, monitoring, communicating statuses & issues and financial management of projects.
  • Obtains/ manages / reallocates resources to meet necessary goals.
  • Plans, monitors, and tracks delivery of quality control and takes corrective action as appropriate.
  • Communicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IS managers, as appropriate.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews, assesses and communicates quality assurance plan to team members, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating project status to IT management, sponsors, and vendors, as appropriate.
  • Develops project communication policy and procedures.
  • Communicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IS managers, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for project budgets and forecast.
  • Performs variance analysis (including schedule, costs vs. budgets, resources and changes to scope). Makes trade-offs with sponsor, as necessary.
  • Performs project risk assessment quantification, response planning and control.
  • Communicates risks to clients and/or IT management, project sponsors & vendors. Develops and executes mitigation strategies.
  • Validates client and functional requirements for sponsor.
  • Determines the impact on current/existing technologies and communicates impact to clients, sponsor, IS management and vendor.
  • Makes recommendations on existing application products that could address client requirements and develops recommendations where appropriate.
  • Evaluates alternative operational efficiencies /business process change.
  • Assists in conducting team building/development activities.
  • Makes presentations to IT management, sponsors, and/or vendors.
