Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced technical managers to coach, grow, and partner with Solutions Architects. You will drive revenue growth, enable best practices, and lead architectures of varying size while collaborating with sales to expand cloud adoption across major accounts.

The role involves mentoring teams, shaping technical strategy, and guiding customers through complex cloud deployments, with travel up to 30% as needed.

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the business development and sales management teams, ensure success in building and migrating applications, modernizing software and services onto the AWS platform
• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
• Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
• Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
• Drive cloud adoption strategies addressing banking-specific challenges, including regulatory reporting, and data protection requirements
• Build deep relationships with decision makers within customer accounts to enable them to be "Cloud advocates"
• Help your team and our customers innovate, and influence AWS product roadmaps to enhance support for banking and other financial services workloads needs.
