Job summary

Regions Hospital, part of HealthPartners, is seeking a Patient Placement Manager to join our Centralized Hospital Operations (CHO) team. You will direct planning, coordination, and supervision of patient placement, budget, staff development, and operational standards to optimize hospital throughput.

The role requires a BSN or ADN with a related degree, 5 years in patient flow or capacity management, and 2 years of leadership in healthcare. Licensure in MN/WI with BLS/CPR as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or ADN in Nursing with a related bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum five (5) years in hospital patient flow, capacity management, or inpatient operations.
• Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a complex healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading enterprise patient placement operations and daily flow management.
• Recruiting, managing and retaining a qualified workforce to meet patient placement and service needs.
• Participating and providing leadership for patient flow and throughput improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining operational knowledge of patient placement practices and system capabilities.
• Developing, monitoring, and modifying the budget, while managing daily operations within established budget.

Under the direction of theCHO Director, theCHO Patient PlacementManageris responsible fordirecting, planning,coordinatingand supervising activities associated withthePatient Placement CHO Department.This includes establishing,maintainingand evaluating standards of care and assuming responsibility for staff development, environmental, humanresourceand fiscal management.

The essential duties of this position include:

• Leading enterprise patient placement operations and daily flow management
• Recruiting, managing and retaining a qualified workforce to meet patient placement and service needs

• Maintaining operational knowledge of patient placement practices and system capabilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or AD in Nursing and Baccalaureate degree in a related field
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in hospital patient flow, capacity management, or inpatient operations
• Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a complex healthcare environment
• Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary teams

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

• Current Registered Nurse license for either Minnesota or Wisconsin required upon hire. Must have both current MN & WI Registered Nurse license within 6 months of hire. Both Minnesota and Wisconsin license must be maintained
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) as required
