Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager to administer services and personnel within the assigned unit. You will oversee the nursing care plan to meet patients' physiological and emotional needs and lead the patient care team to deliver high-quality care.

You will coordinate resources, supervise staff, and act as an expert resource to physicians and hospital staff. A strong clinical background and leadership track record are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license required.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program to be completed within 2 years.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related health care field.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage services and personnel in assigned nursing unit(s).
• Oversee the nursing plan of care for patients in the unit and ensure patient needs are met.

Required:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program to be completed within 2-years
• A minimum of 3 years job-related experience
• A minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership performance
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related health care field
