Job summary

Moët Hennessy USA, Inc. seeks an Account Lead to manage distributor relationships and drive volume, visibility, and brand initiatives in the Illinois market.

The role focuses on MH brand priorities, strategic account planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver results. You will work with MH teams to execute programs, educate accounts, and optimize spend while maintaining strong customer partnerships and delivering on sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support distributor sales teams to achieve brand priorities.
  • Oversee and monitor sales & depletion goals within assigned market to ensure targets are met
  • Sells in MH brands/products, selecting relevant activations/programs/tactics for each account
  • Identifies opportunities for bespoke programs and upsell with MH resources
  • Develop key account listings and track velocity, sales and updates
  • Acts as consultant to opportunities and growth via education, programming and analysis
  • Lead trade advocacy initiatives and maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Maintain on-call communication to ensure expectations met in customer relationships
  • Work with distributor sales reps for pricing and fulfillment support
  • Ensure programs and activations meet MH brand guidelines
  • Build a long-term account plan through partnerships and ongoing programming
  • Inform channel/market leads of opportunities and risks
  • Participate in Market/Maison visitors and distributor/trade education
  • Manage budgets: T&E and A&P

The Account Lead serves as the face of MH for the account, owns account relationships, and is responsible for cultivating the relationship and delivering volume driving sales & visibility goals in their territory. In addition, the Account Lead will successfully manage progress and execution with the distributor on key brand initiatives.

Office/Location: Remote in IL. In market based on business needs.

Compensation: $101,000-$126,000/ Annually + Bonus

Job responsibilities
Profile | Key Accountabilities
Account Management:
  • Manage and support distributor sales teams to achieve brand priorities.
  • Oversee and monitor sales & depletion goals within assigned market to ensure targets are met
  • Sells in MH brands/products, selecting relevant activations/programs/tactics for each account
  • Identifies opportunities for bespoke programs, deeper brand education, and upsell, bringing in appropriate MH resources
  • Develop key account listings (KPIs for distribution and menu listings, account support plan, track velocity / sales and update regularly)
  • Acts as consultant to on portfolio opportunities and growth via advice, education, programming, creative ideas, and analysis to accounts
  • Leads trade advocacy initiatives and maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Maintains on-call communication to ensure expectations met in customer relationship
  • Works hand in hand with distributor sales reps for pricing and fulfillment support
  • Ensures account needs for programs and activations are met and executed within MH brand guidelines
  • Builds a key account plan through longer term account partnerships & ongoing programming
  • Informs the channel lead or market lead of opportunities, risks, and competitive intel
  • Participation in Market/Maison visitors, blitzes, and distributor/trade education
  • Effectively manage assigned budgets: T&E and A&P.
Relationship Management:
  • Collaborates with Channel Lead to translate channel strategy to accounts in-market
  • Partners with Field Trade Marketing & Experiential Development to execute programs/experiences in accounts
  • Partners with Distributor to manage order execution
  • Maximizing ROI of the assigned budget
Profile
Education:

Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required.

Professional Experience

5+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits

Practical/Technical Knowledge
  • Builds strong relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions

  • Extensive understanding of consumer expectations within the geography
  • Ability to apply knowledge of key business issues to effective sales pitches & strategy-setting

  • Excellent analytical ability; effectively interprets & applies syndicated data insights

  • Number of 1:1 account engagement (visits + entertainment)
  • Execution of agreed-to account program calendar / consumer experiences

This role requires frequent driving to support account visits, transport POSM, and meet essential business needs. Driving is an essential function of the position. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Eligibility for a company vehicle is subject to a satisfactory driving record and completion of the Company’s approval process.

Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
