Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Takes primary responsibility for bar operations during their shift, ensuring proper staffing and efficiency.
• Supervises bar staff to ensure high-quality service, cash handling, and policy compliance.
• Drives bar sales by monitoring demand and opportunities to increase revenue.
• Monitors inventory and stock levels for beverages, food, and supplies.
• Coordinates restocking and communicates purchasing needs to management.
• Keeps bar area and storage clean and organized to standard.
• Responds professionally to inquiries and issues related to bar and F&B.
• Ensures staff comply with policies including cash handling and safety procedures.
• Encourages teamwork and supports staff across the facility.
• Coordinates with Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and F&B to streamline operations.
• Prepares the bar and facility for leagues and events, adjusting staffing as needed.
• Implements safety procedures and maintains a strong floor presence.

Job Description

Sofive Soccer Centers is a rapidly growing business that is developing soccer centers – modern sport complexes with small-sided soccer fields. The Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sofive Soccer facility while ensuring that customer needs are met. The Manager on Duty will have a strong focus on bar and food & beverage operations, including managing bar staff, maintaining inventory and stock levels, driving bar sales, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This position requires a person with strong communication, leadership, customer service, and decision‑making skills, as well as bar or food & beverage management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and staff in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Takes primary responsibility for bar operations during their shift, ensuring the bar is properly staffed, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Supervises and supports bar staff to ensure high-quality customer service, efficient service, proper cash handling, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Drives bar sales by actively monitoring customer demand, identifying opportunities to increase sales, and ensuring the bar provides a positive customer experience.
• Monitors bar inventory and stock levels, ensuring beverages, food, and other bar supplies are properly stocked and available throughout the shift.
• Coordinates and completes bar restocking, inventory checks, and communicates purchasing or supply needs to management.
• Ensures the bar area, equipment, storage areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained to company standards.
• Responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and problems in a timely and professional manner, with particular attention to bar and food & beverage-related concerns.
• Ensures that all employees comply with company policies and procedures, including applicable bar, food & beverage, cash‑handling, and safety procedures.
• Encourages teamwork and provides guidance and support to staff across the facility.
• Coordinates with other departments to streamline operations and increase efficiency, including Front Desk, Soccer Operations, and Food & Beverage.
• Ensures the bar and overall facility are properly prepared for leagues, events, and high‑volume periods, adjusting staffing and operations as needed.
• Implements and maintains safety procedures for staff and customers.
• Maintains a strong presence on the floor and in the bar area, proactively addressing operational issues and ensuring the overall customer experience meets Sofive standards.
