Philip’s Academy Charter School of Paterson seeks a reliable and skilled professional as its Manager of Operations and Technology. The MOOT is a key member of the Operations Team.

Mission: The mission of Philip’s Academy Charter School of Paterson is to provide a moral and rigorous education to a diverse student body in a hands-on, technology-infused environment that embraces differentiated instruction and individual attention, preparing students for college and fostering global citizenship, environmental sustainability, and personal virtue.

Reports To: Operations Leader or Managing Director of Business and Operations

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the operations of the school main office.
  2. Collect, organize, and review procurement documents with relevant staff for review and approval.
  3. Track procured goods and services from order to receipt, maintaining an efficient process.
  4. Support annual fiscal audits related to procurement, food service, and enrollment.
  5. Collect and analyze data for various reports such as NJSmart, Attendance, and Enrollment.
  6. Support management of information systems and school data.
  7. Assist in student recruitment and enrollment processes, including outreach and home visits.
  8. Coordinate school events like back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, and community events.
  9. Maintain student enrollment files in accordance with policies.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Operations Support:

  1. Support the maintenance of a clean, safe environment.
  2. Ensure public spaces reflect the school’s culture and mission.
  3. Work with facilities staff on maintenance needs.
  4. Support arrival, dismissal, and student logistics.
  5. Assist procurement of necessary materials and supplies.
  6. Support event planning and implementation.

Information Systems and Technology:

  1. Ensure access to necessary technology for students and staff.
  2. Coordinate with network technicians and IT support.
  3. Manage office equipment supplies.
  4. Support student testing coordination.
  5. Provide technology training to staff.
  6. Recommend new technologies to enhance student achievement.

Mental/Physical Demands:

  1. Maintain emotional control under stress.
  2. Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
  3. Ability to see and hear adequately.
  4. Stand, walk, sit, and occasionally stoop or kneel.
  5. Maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and other relevant software.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  7. Effective time management skills.
  8. Experience in project planning and urban education preferred.
  9. Strategic thinker with resourcefulness and adaptability.
  10. Organized with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.

Terms of Employment: Twelve-month employment.

Evaluation: Annual performance review per board policy.
