Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater KC (The J) seeks a Manager of Jewish Experiences to lead programming that connects individuals through Jewish arts, culture, and learning. This role drives partnerships, volunteer management, and budget oversight to deliver impactful community programming.

The Manager will collaborate with The J and the Jewish Federation to expand initiatives, engage diverse audiences, and strengthen Jewish identity across the Kansas City community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish practice, ritual, culture, and tradition.
• A proactive self-starter with creativity and strategic vision for adult Jewish learning.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with clear communication.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute engaging programs and events that strengthen Jewish identity and culture.
• Cultivate relationships with community members through outreach and hospitality.
• Build and maintain partnerships with synagogues, agencies, and organizations.
• Support Israel engagement through collaboration with the Israeli Emissary on educational programming.
• Partner with marketing to craft communications that drive awareness and participation.
• Gather feedback and evaluate outcomes to improve offerings and participant experience.
• Manage program budgets, timelines, and logistics for cost-effective events.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and program committees.
• Collaborate with The J and the Jewish Federation on cross-department initiatives.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes for reporting and planning.
