Job summary

The J in Kansas City is seeking a Manager of Jewish Experiences to advance programming and community engagement across the Jewish community. You will collaborate with The J and the Jewish Federation to create meaningful arts, culture, and learning experiences that connect participants to Jewish identity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish practice, ritual, culture, and tradition.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; translate ideas into actionable plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
• Skilled at building relationships across diverse Jewish communities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute engaging programs and events that strengthen Jewish identity and community connections.
• Cultivate relationships with community members through outreach, hospitality, and follow-up.
• Build partnerships with synagogues, agencies, and community organizations to expand impact.
• Collaborate with the Israeli Emissary to develop educational and cultural programming.
• Partner with marketing to craft communications that drive awareness and participation.
• Gather feedback and evaluate outcomes to refine offerings.
• Manage program budgets, timelines, and logistics to stay on track and within budget.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and program committees as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues across The J and the Jewish Federation on cross‑departmental events.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes for reporting and planning.
