Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Manager of Jewish Experiences to advance the mission of Jewish Experiences. This role oversees diverse programs, engages communities, and builds strategic partnerships with The J and the Jewish Federation.

The Manager will lead program development, manage budgets, and coordinate volunteers, while working nights and weekends as needed for programming and events.

• Skilled at building relationships across diverse Jewish communities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources.
• Technologically savvy, with openness to new tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with the Kansas City Jewish community preferred.
• Passionate about Jewish living and learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute programs and events that strengthen Jewish identity, celebrate culture, and build meaningful connections.
• Cultivate relationships with community members through outreach, hospitality, and follow-up.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local synagogues, agencies, and community organizations.
• Support Israel engagement through educational and cultural programming.
• Partner with marketing to craft communications and outreach strategies.
• Gather feedback and evaluate program outcomes to refine offerings.
• Manage program budgets, timelines, and logistics for cost-effectiveness.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and program committees.
• Collaborate with The J and the Jewish Federation on cross-departmental initiatives.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes for reporting and planning.
