Our vision is to teach foundational truth in an ever-changing world, empowering students to think critically and creatively and to act with courage and compassion. We are committed to partnering with families to offer excellence in faith, academics, fine arts, and athletics.

Position Overview:

The Institutional Giving Officer develops a portfolio of institutional partners, builds trusted relationships with business and community leaders, and creates opportunities for those relationships to translate into meaningful investment in MPCS. This is a relationship-driven revenue role. The position carries an annual managed revenue goal of $3M, including institutional philanthropy, Georgia GOAL, and American GOAL giving.

The ideal candidate balances relationship building with a strong business or financial background. This person should be comfortable developing a market and opening doors. They should understand what motivates an organization to invest and be equally effective at maintaining long-term relationships or asking for significant financial commitments.

Responsibilities:

Build and Grow Institutional Relationships

Develop a strong network of relationships with businesses, foundations, and other organizations that have the potential to invest in MPCS.

Build trust with institutional leaders by understanding their priorities and identifying authentic connections between those interests and the work of the school.

Represent MPCS externally as a credible relationship builder who can engage comfortably with business owners and executives as well as foundation or community leaders.

Generate Philanthropic Revenue

Own a portfolio responsible for generating $3M annually through institutional philanthropy, Georgia GOAL and American GOAL giving.

Develop opportunities for corporate giving and philanthropic sponsorships. Pursue foundation support and other institutional funding when there is strong alignment with MPCS priorities.

Lead significant institutional solicitations and structure opportunities that reflect the needs of MPCS while creating meaningful alignment for the prospective funder.

Build a robust pipeline of prospective institutional partners and continually expand the universe of organizations with the potential to support MPCS.

Approach pipeline development with the discipline of business development. Evaluate opportunities based on relationship potential and financial capacity while considering the likelihood of investment.

Maintain clear visibility into the health of the institutional pipeline, including future revenue potential and progress toward annual goals.

Lead Georgia GOAL and American GOAL Growth

Grow Georgia GOAL and American GOAL as significant revenue channels for MPCS, with particular emphasis on developing participation among businesses and other high-value prospects.

Develop relationships with prospective participants while creating strong renewal strategies for existing supporters.

Build a referral network among financial professionals and other business advisors who can introduce qualified prospects and help expand awareness of these giving opportunities.

Approach both programs as business development opportunities, building a qualified pipeline and developing relationships that can produce meaningful recurring revenue for MPCS.

Partner with Marketing and Communications to build awareness of Georgia GOAL and American GOAL while maintaining personal relationship ownership of priority prospects.

Develop Foundation and Funding Opportunities

Identify appropriate funding opportunities and determine where MPCS has a compelling case for support.

Develop proposals and applications that translate school priorities into credible funding opportunities. Coordinate with school leaders to secure the information necessary to support those requests.

Maintain relationships after funding is secured through thoughtful stewardship and meaningful impact reporting.

Steward and Expand Partnerships

Develop stewardship approaches that demonstrate the impact and value of each partnership.

Maintain meaningful contact with institutional partners throughout the year and continually look for opportunities to deepen the relationship.
