Senior Director of Strategy and Human Resources

Position: Director of Athletics

Responsibilities
  • Provides visionary leadership, strategic planning and policy development for the athletics program.
  • Maintains an athletics program that is committed to the school’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Works with the school’s development office to raise funds for the athletic department.
  • Develops and manages the annual department budget.
  • Recruits, hires and supervises the coaching staff.
  • Ensures compliance with all school and state association policies, rules and regulations.
  • Certifies thatall athletic contests are scheduled
  • Oversee the marketing and promotion of athletic events.
  • Manage all athletic facilities and equipment.
  • Support the school and its leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ athletic administration experiences preferably in an educational environment.
  • A mission‑driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith‑based academic environment.
  • Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Collaboration: Has student‑centered focus and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk distances, and climb stairs.
  • Drives personal vehicle across campuses.
  • Have specific vision abilities required by this job that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
  • Manage equipment, including a phone, computer, camera, video equipment, and other electronic devices.
  • Use muscles or limbs to lift boxes or items under 30 lbs.
  • Occasionally work nights and weekends in support of departmental school activities.
