Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Family Maternity Suites. You will oversee 24-hour unit operations, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and strong interdepartmental relationships.

Requires BSN and Illinois RN licensure with national specialty certification or progress toward it; minimum 3 years of acute care nursing with progressive leadership experience is expected. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Job Description Summary

Nurse Manager, Family Maternity Suites operates within the Springfield Memorial Hospital and Nursing Division mission, vision, strategic priorities and goals. Utilizing a shared leadership philosophy, the Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour accountability for unit management and the quality of patient care on a designated unit(s). The Nurse Manager creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, teambuilding and nursing professionalism. She/he ensures the enculturation of the Magnet Program requirements on the unit. She/he assures that care provided on the unit is appropriate to the age of the patients served and that staff are competent to provide safe, quality, evidence-based nursing care. She/he maintains positive physician and interdepartmental relationships as well as positive employee morale. Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.

Education

• BSN REQUIRED; Masters degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry

• Current Illinois RN licensure required.
• Holds national specialty nursing certification in clinical area or nursing administration, or completes within 24 months of assuming role.

Experience

• Minimum three years experience in acute care nursing as a registered nurse with demonstrated progressive leadership/management skill REQUIRED.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Demonstrated understanding of nurse-sensitive quality indicators and basic hospital/nursing regulatory requirements.

Pay Transparency $47.65 - $73.86 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
