Memorial Health's Decatur Memorial Health (DMH) is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee unit operations and patient care quality. The role requires 24-hour accountability, a shared leadership approach, and a focus on communication, collaboration, and nursing professional standards.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with a Master's preferred, Illinois RN licensure, and a national specialty certification or plan to obtain within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registry: Current Illinois RN licensure required; holds national specialty nursing certification in clinical area or nursing administration, or completes within 24 months of assuming role.
• Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in acute care nursing as a registered nurse with demonstrated progressive leadership/management skills.
• Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated understanding of nurse-sensitive quality indicators and basic hospital/nursing regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour accountability for unit management and quality of patient care on designated unit(s).
• Creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, teambuilding and nursing professionalism.

Job Description Summary: The Nurse Manager operates within the Decatur Memorial Health (DMH) and Nursing Division mission, vision, strategic priorities and goals. Utilizing a shared leadership philosophy, the Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour accountability for unit management and the quality of patient care on a designated unit(s). The Nurse Manager creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, teambuilding and nursing professionalism. Assures that care provided on the unit is appropriate to the age of the patients served and that staff are competent to provide safe, quality, evidence-based nursing care. Maintains positive physician and interdepartmental relationships as well as positive employee morale. Pay Transparency $47.65 - $73.86

Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
