Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital, part of Memorial Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Magnet hospital team. You will deliver high-quality care, exhibit the care starts with caring philosophy, and support patients and families with empathy and expertise.

As an on-site RN, you will care for neuro-medical-respiratory-surgical and post-trauma patients, monitor vital signs, interpret telemetry, assist with ventilator care and EEGs, and manage complex wound care with safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• Licensed as RN in State of Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to neuro-medical-respiratory-surgical, post-trauma and sepsis patients, as well as borderline ICU patients.
• Monitor, print and interpret strips; ventilator care, EEG observation, telemetry.
• Assist with medications, dressings, and patient safety measures.

3E Intermediate Care: Registered Nurse Responsibilities

3E Intermediate Care: Registered Nurse will provide care to neuro-medical-respiratory-surgical, post-trauma and sepsis patients, as well as borderline ICU patients. Every shift they will be responsible for providing monitoring, printing and interpreting strips. Care includes IMC Monitoring, ventilator care, EEG observation, off-site telemetry, acute stroke, complex surgeries and seizure disorders, as well as dressings, medication administration and monitoring with titratable meds and drainage tubes.

Licensure/Certification/Registry

• Licensed as RN in State of Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.

Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.

Pay Transparency

$30.23 - $48.37 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
