Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Chandler, AZ is hiring a Manager, Memory Care (LPN or RN) for a full-time role with a Sunday-Thursday schedule. You will recruit and supervise staff, provide nursing care including assessments and care plans, and coordinate resident admissions with the care team.

You may serve as Manager-On-Duty on weekends. Applicants should have an LPN/RN license, 1–2 years of dementia-care management, and a related degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or RN license required.
• Caregiver certifications beneficial to community plus management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• 1–2 years of management experience directing/providing dementia care.
• Strong background in patient care assessment and non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including health assessments, resident care plans, discussing changes with physicians, fall reduction interventions, medication administration and resident care as needed.
• Coordinate the resident admission process with the community’s multidisciplinary team including screening, assessment and care planning.
• This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

Schedule: Full-Time. Sunday - Thursday.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including but not limited to: Completion of health assessments and resident care plans, discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also provide medication administration and help with resident care, as needed
• In conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment and care planning.

This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• A strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.
