Opportunity at a Glance

In this position, the Manager of Learning and Development will manage the daily workflow related to the development and delivery of training and training resources. Under the guidance of the Senior Director, this individual will support the strategy around change management, training intake, and the overall direction of the Training team. This individual manages a team of Training Specialists who support training facilitation, including colleague onboarding for enrollment and student success teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Training function within a Learning and Development team, including 2 Senior Training Specialists and 1 Training Specialist.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement project requests submitted via the team intake form, considering internal resource availability and business priorities.
  • Manage the workflow of the Training team, recommending resource shifts to ensure timely delivery based on business expectations.
  • Plan and execute communication and change management strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate and assess training effectiveness; recommend improvements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with institutional departments to identify training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree in Training, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a training environment, focusing on instructional systems design.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in higher education industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Expertise in the full lifecycle of learning and development, including instructional design, adult learning theory, and performance management.
  • Experience in improving employee performance through training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Project Management software.
Additional Information

The expected salary range for this position is between $70,696.34 and $108,334.92, adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include health insurance, 401k with 6% match, flexible time off, and paid holidays. For more details, visit our benefits page.
