Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Manager of Learning and Development will oversee the daily workflow related to training development and delivery. Reporting to the Senior Director, they will support change management strategies, training intake, and guide the Training team. This role manages a team of Training Specialists involved in training facilitation and onboarding for enrollment and student success teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Training function within the Learning and Development team, including 2 Senior Training Specialists and 1 Training Specialist.
  2. Evaluate, prioritize, and implement project requests submitted via the team intake form, considering resource availability and business priorities.
  3. Oversee the workflow of the Training team, reallocating resources as needed to meet deadlines and expectations.
  4. Lead communication and change management planning and execution.
  5. Continuously assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with institutional departments to identify training needs.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  8. Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Master's Degree in Training, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a training environment with instructional systems design focus.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of project management experience with a focus on consultation and management is preferred.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Proven ability to maintain stakeholder relationships in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of the full learning and development lifecycle, adult learning theory, and performance management.
  • Experience in improving employee performance through training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Project Management software and other computer skills.
Additional Information

The expected salary range is $70,696.34 to $108,334.92, adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors.
