Job summary

Linc Housing Corporation is seeking a Manager of Institutional Giving to lead its institutional fundraising program, managing prospecting, proposal strategy, writing, submission, and reporting across foundations, corporate philanthropy, and government funders.

The role requires strong storytelling, grant-writing skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments. You will supervise staff as needed and work in a hybrid model from Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in institutional fundraising.
• Experience managing grant portfolios and securing institutional funding.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, English, public policy, nonprofit management, or related field; master's a plus.
• Strong writing portfolio demonstrating storytelling and narrative ability.
• Experience with CRM/donor databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own the department's grant tracking system and calendar.
• Lead end-to-end grants program across foundation, corporate philanthropy, and government funders.
• Build and maintain relationships with program officers at foundations and corporate funders.
• Research and identify new institutional funding opportunities and build a robust funding pipeline.
• Lead writing, editing, and submission of grant proposals and applications.
• Own timely grant reporting to funders.
• Develop and manage grant budgets and forecasts.
• Provide guidance to the Corporate Development Associate on grant writing and reporting.
