Job summary

CAIR-CA is seeking an Institutional Giving Manager to lead the development of a robust institutional fundraising program in Anaheim, CA. You will strategize, cultivate, and secure support from private foundations, corporate funders, and government agencies, while coordinating cross-functional grant development efforts across the organization.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate success securing six- and seven-figure grants, manage complex portfolios, and craft compelling funding proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in institutional fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development, with a demonstrated track record of securing major institutional grants.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising staff.
• Proven track record of securing and managing six- and seven-figure grants from private foundations, corporations, and/or government agencies.
• Experience managing institutional fundraising initiatives and complex grant portfolios.
• Exceptional grant writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with experience translating complex programs into compelling funding proposals.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Portfolio Management: Lead CAIR-CA's institutional giving strategy and manage a portfolio of funders to maximize revenue.
• Grant Development, Administration & Compliance: Develop grant budgets and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
• Relationship Management: Build and strengthen relationships with foundation partners, corporate funders, and government agencies.
• Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Provide strategic leadership and use data to improve fundraising outcomes.
