Job summary

Linc Housing Corporation in Long Beach is seeking a Manager of Institutional Giving to lead the organization’s institutional fundraising program, manage the full grant lifecycle, and cultivate funder relationships. The role also oversees grant tracking, reporting, and storytelling across foundations, corporates, and government funders.

Qualifications

• Grant research, writing, compliance, and reporting best practices at an advanced level.
• The foundation, corporate philanthropy, and government funding landscape relevant to affordable housing and community development.
• Funder relationship management with foundation and corporate philanthropy program officers.
• Individual donor cultivation preferred.
• Nonprofit storytelling, messaging, and communications principles.
• Nonprofit budgeting and revenue forecasting.
• Experience with CRM/donor databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the full grants lifecycle from prospecting to reporting across foundation, corporate philanthropy, and government funders.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders and program staff to identify opportunities for support.
• Develop and manage grant budgets and forecasts in collaboration with leadership and Accounting.
• Provide direction to staff on grant writing and reporting during high-volume periods.
• Collaborate with Communications on department messaging and outward-facing storytelling.
• Oversee grant tracking system, master grant calendar, and ensure deadlines and compliance.
• Coordinate with executive leadership on funder outreach and engagement strategies.
