Position Overview

The Manager, Field Reimbursement Services is responsible for leading a team of field-based reimbursement managers and managing the daily operations of a field reimbursement program sourced to McKesson by a pharmaceutical manufacturer client. The primary objective is to hire, develop, coach, evaluate, and lead the reimbursement team to successfully engage specialty physician offices and support the manufacturer customer. Additional responsibilities include managing program operations, staffing, profitability, SOPs, process design, implementation, and improvements. The role involves monitoring client SLA agreements to ensure compliance and making staffing and process adjustments as needed. It requires managing a nationwide team of remote direct reports, involving monitoring activities, performance development, and extensive travel for training and ride-alongs. The role also involves regular interaction with client organization members, especially the Head of Reimbursement Operations, and acting as a liaison within McKesson to various departments to ensure process synergy, training, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership: Lead a team of field-based reimbursement specialists responsible for reimbursement and patient support services. Manage administrative, training, and performance duties, including weekly 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
  2. Communication & Partnership: Ensure effective communication between the field team and their home office, establish regular meetings with clients and operations teams, and lead ongoing training and development activities.
  3. Operational Improvements: Drive field operations efficiencies and execute on projects aimed at enhancing the reimbursement program.
  4. SLA & Compliance: Ensure all contractual SLAs are met, and team adherence to privacy and compliance obligations, tracked via SFDC.
  5. Client Management: Collaborate with the Client’s Head of Reimbursement Operations to execute strategic initiatives, report results, and participate in quarterly business reviews.
  6. Team Development: Partner with FRMs to establish development opportunities, provide ongoing training, and support career growth.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of reimbursement experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Critical Requirements
  • Experience supporting a Field Reimbursement Team preferred.
  • Experience managing a field-based reimbursement team strongly preferred.
  • Proven account/client management experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy sectors.
  • Experience in direct communication with pharmaceutical clients or stakeholders.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and able to create value.
  • Strong team relationship development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively within budgets and timelines.
  • Experience with process documentation and improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions & Travel

Remote work with general office demands. Travel 60-80% (3-4 days/week), must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Physical requirements include long periods of sitting and keyboard work.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive total rewards package. Base pay range: $79,500 - $132,500, plus potential bonuses and incentives. Benefits information available on our website.
