Position: Manager, Field Reimbursement Services

The Manager, Field Reimbursement Services is responsible for leading a team of field-based reimbursement managers and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a field reimbursement program sourced to McKesson by a pharmaceutical manufacturer client. The primary objective is to hire, develop, coach, evaluate, culture-build, and lead the reimbursement team to successfully engage specialty physician offices and support the manufacturer customer. Additional responsibilities include managing program operations such as staffing, profitability, SOPs, process design, implementation, and improvements. The role involves monitoring client SLA agreements to ensure compliance, making staffing and process adjustments as needed. This position supervises a nationwide team of remote-based direct reports, requiring activity monitoring, performance development, and extensive travel for training and ride-alongs. The role also involves regular interaction with client stakeholders, primarily with the head of Reimbursement Operations, and acts as a liaison within McKesson to various internal departments to ensure process synergy, training, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of field-based reimbursement specialists responsible for providing reimbursement and patient support services in an assigned territory, including administrative, training, and performance management duties.
  • Establish effective communication and partnership between the field team and their home office, including weekly meetings with clients and operations teams, and regular team teleconferences and ride-alongs for training and development.
  • Provide Field Operations efficiencies and innovative ideas to enhance the program, including executing assigned projects.
  • Ensure all SLAs and contractual commitments are met, with adherence to privacy and compliance obligations, tracked in FRM SFDC.
  • Collaborate with the Client's Head of Reimbursement Operations to execute strategic initiatives, and report results to McKesson Client Services and key client contacts.
  • Manage client expectations and provide proactive consultative services on process improvements, revenue, and cost-saving opportunities, including participation in Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Partner with FRMs to establish development opportunities, providing ongoing training and educational resources, including payer education, conferences, mentorships, and courses.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of reimbursement experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Critical Requirements:
  • Experience supporting or managing a Field Reimbursement Team preferred.
  • Proven account/client management experience in healthcare or pharmacy industries.
  • Experience in direct communication with pharmaceutical clients or stakeholders.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Collaborative, customer-focused, with ability to create visible value.
  • Strong team relationship development skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively within budget and timelines.
  • Experience with process documentation and improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions & Travel:
  • Remote/WFH environment.
  • Must be able to travel 60-80% (3-4 days/week) via automobile or plane.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:

Long periods of sitting and keyboard work.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on performance, experience, skills, and other factors. The pay range for this position is $79,500 - $132,500, with potential bonuses and incentives. For more benefits information, please click here.
