Job summary

Lone Star College-CyFair seeks a Manager, Success and Completion to lead the Records department, ensuring accurate student records, transcripts, and graduation processing. You will implement processes, guide staff, and collaborate with campus teams to improve completion metrics.

  • Oversees dual credit registration processes and communications with high school counselors to support accurate student registration.
  • Process graduation applications for degree completion.
  • Supervise student outreach through departmental emails and phone.
  • Monitor departmental budget and staff payroll.
  • Attend departmental, campus, and system meetings; facilitate weekly Advising and Records meetings.
  • Develop training related to Records functions and provide information to campus staff; Train staff and provide professional development.
  • Reconcile state reporting and demographic errors.
  • Assist internal and external customers with Records inquiries.

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Manager, Success and Completion at CyFair manages the Records department office to ensure the productivity of staff involved in student records, graduation, transcript evaluation, enrollment verification, prior learning assessments, state reporting, and Commencement. The Manager ensures compliance with college, state, and federal laws related to student records. The Manager maintains data for the campus administrators.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Supervises team of full-time and part-time Records Specialists and ensures staff is productive and completes work related to student success and other goals of the campus
  2. Creates processes and guides staff in identifying students nearing degree completion. Oversees the assessment and analysis of completion data, student records, and transcripts, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in transcript evaluation and records management
  3. Oversees dual credit registration processes and related communications with high school counselors to support accurate and timely student registration
  4. Process graduation applications for degree completion
  5. Supervise student outreach through departmental emails and phone
  6. Monitor departmental budget and staff payroll
  7. Attend departmental, campus, and system meetings; Facilitate the weekly Advising and Records meeting
  8. Develop training related to Records functions and provide information to campus staff; Train staff and provide professional development
  9. Reconcile state reporting and demographic errors
  10. Assist internal and external customers with Records inquiries
  11. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree
Salary

Hiring salary range is $54,528 - $62,708.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
