Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervises team of Records Specialists and ensures staff is productive.
  • Creates processes and guides staff in identifying students nearing degree completion.
  • Oversees dual credit registration processes and communications with high school counselors.
  • Process graduation applications for degree completion.
  • Supervise student outreach through departmental emails and phone.
  • Monitor departmental budget and staff payroll.
  • Attend departmental, campus, and system meetings; facilitate the weekly Advising and Records meeting.
  • Develop training related to Records functions and provide information to campus staff; train staff and provide professional development.
  • Reconcile state reporting and demographic errors.
  • Assist internal and external customers with Records inquiries.
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Manager, Success and Completion at CyFair manages the Recordsdepartment office to ensure the productivity of staff involved instudent records, graduation, transcript evaluation, enrollmentverification, prior learning assessments, state reporting, andCommencement. The Manager ensures compliance with college, state,and federal laws related to student records. The Manager maintainsdata for the campus administrators.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Supervises team of full-time and part-time RecordsSpecialists and ensures staff is productive and completes workrelated to student success and other goals of the campus
  2. Creates processes and guides staff in identifying studentsnearing degree completion. Oversees the assessment and analysis ofcompletion data, student records, and transcripts, and identifiesopportunities for continuous improvement in transcript evaluationand records management
  3. Oversees dual credit registration processes and relatedcommunications with high school counselors to support accurate andtimely student registration
  4. Process graduation applications for degree completion
  5. Supervise student outreach through departmental emails andphone
  6. Monitor departmental budget and staff payroll
  7. Attend departmental, campus, and system meetings; Facilitatethe weekly Advising and Records meeting

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably todo the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; ordriving an automobile. No special physical demands are required toperform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in aMicrosoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other generaloffice equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed tocarry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimalexposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience, or anequivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree
Salary

Hiring salary range is $54,528 - $62,708.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all postedfull-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fallin that range is determined by your related experience andeducation.
