Job summary

The Tulsa Drillers, a DBH club, seek a Catering Manager to lead premium hospitality and catering operations at ONEOK Field. Manage luxury suites, decks, and event spaces for baseball games, soccer matches, and special events, ensuring top guest service.

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, developing seasonal employees, and managing efficient, profitable food and beverage operations.The Catering Manager oversees service in luxury suites, party decks, the pavilion, the indoor event center, and other hospitality spaces throughout the ballpark. Working closely with the Directors of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, and front office, this manager coordinates event details from advance planning through setup, service, and breakdown.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead catering and premium service for all assigned games and special events, maintaining a visible presence in hospitality areas throughout each event.Serve as the primary catering contact for clients before, during, and after events; confirm food and beverage orders, guest counts, service times, locations, and special requests.Communicate event details and changes to the kitchen, service staff, and front office to ensure accurate orders and timely service.Oversee hospitality setup, buffet and menu presentation, food quality, order delivery, replenishment, and breakdown to maintain consistent service standards.Hire, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal hospitality employees, including suite servers and runners, deck staff, and catering staff; provide ongoing coaching and support team morale.Work with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage to develop and execute premium and catering menus that meet guest needs and operational goals.Manage labor, food and beverage costs, operating supplies, and smallwares within established budgets; adjust staffing and preparation to anticipated attendance and event needs.Coordinate inventory, ordering needs, and product availability with the appropriate department leaders; maintain accurate counts and reduce unnecessary waste.Ensure hospitality areas and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for service; report maintenance needs and follow through on operational concerns.Maintain food safety, sanitation, quality control, and responsible beverage service standards in all assigned areas.Address guest and client concerns promptly and professionally, coordinating with department leadership when additional support is needed.Use point of sale and back of house systems to support accurate orders and service; assist staff with routine troubleshooting and escalate technical issues.Support other food and beverage operations and departments as needed and perform related duties assigned by management.QualificationsAt least two to three years of food service management experience, with catering or premium hospitality experience required. Sports, stadium, or other high volume event experience is a strong plus.Demonstrated ability to lead a large seasonal team, train employees, manage competing priorities, and maintain a positive, professional attitude during busy events.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, guests, employees, and all levels of management.Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory control, labor management, quality control, and responsible beverage service.Financial management skills and comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and point of sale and back of house systems; willingness to learn venue systems.A strong commitment to guest service, attention to detail, continuous learning, and improving the overall hospitality experience.Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.ScheduleMust be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on Tulsa Drillers home games, soccer matches, and special events. This is a hands-on role requiring active oversight of hospitality operations throughout events.
