CDM Smith's BI & Reporting team is undergoing a major transformation, migrating from Qlik Sense to Power BI and redefining our semantic layer. We are seeking a Manager of Advanced Analytics to own initiatives from concept to delivery, working with business stakeholders and onshore/offshore teams.

This role emphasizes delivery over people management, focusing on BI strategy, AI-assisted development with tools like Copilot and Claude, and shaping how we build and deliver BI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8 years of relevant analytics experience.
• Ability to own advanced analytics projects from start to finish and deliver.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Power BI, semantic modeling, and DAX experience.
• Experience using AI tools to improve work (Copilot/ChatGPT/Claude).

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of BI initiatives from scoping through delivery.
• Translate business needs into clear, buildable requirements.
• Partner with architects and developers to redefine CDM Smith BI.
• Champion AI-assisted and agentic development practices across the team.
• Manage timelines, priorities and stakeholder expectations under pressure.
• Review technical direction of Power BI and Fabric solutions.
• Identify process gaps and drive BI delivery improvements.
