Job summary

Fried Frank seeks a Manager of Business Intelligence to lead the firm's BI and reporting function. You will manage a two-person BI team, own the intake/backlog, and personally develop Power BI reports and datasets as the modernization program advances.

You'll drive migration from SSRS to Power BI and Fabric, rationalize the 200+ financial and non-financial reports, and partner with Finance and Practice Leaders to deliver reliable, self-service insights while maintaining governance and security

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive BI/reporting experience with leadership.
Hands-on Power BI: report and dashboard design, DAX, data modeling.
Strong SQL Server/T-SQL skills to write and optimize queries.
Familiarity with SSRS and legacy reporting during migration.
Experience rationalizing or simplifying a reporting environment.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience in legal or professional services is preferred.
Knowledge of Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead team of two BI professionals and manage backlog with priorities.
Own BI/reporting intake and backlog, triage requests, and set delivery timelines.
Hands-on design and maintenance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
Drive migration from SSRS to Power BI and Fabric; rationalize report catalog.
Define governance and standardize data models for maintainable reporting.
Collaborate with Finance, Practice Leaders, and Data Strategy to align requirements.
Communicate progress to stakeholders and maintain service levels.
