Job summary

Essent seeks a Senior Power BI Developer to lead design, development, and scaling of enterprise BI solutions. You will migrate from legacy Cognos/AWS QuickSight to Power BI, build robust semantic models, and optimize queries against Redshift while partnering with stakeholders to deliver high‑performance analytics.

The role requires 5+ years of Power BI and SQL experience, Cognos migration skills, and strong communication. On‑site at Radnor, PA with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of end-to-end Power BI development (DAX, modeling, data gateway).
• 5+ years of advanced SQL with Amazon Redshift.
• Experience migrating from IBM Cognos to Power BI.
• Mortgage/financial industry experience preferred.
• Certification in PL-300 or AWS certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Lead Cognos-to-Power BI migration with data parity and accuracy.
• Write optimized SQL queries against Redshift and transform data.
• Administer Power BI Service tenant, security, dataflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor junior team members on advanced Power BI modeling and visualization.
