Referment is working with a global investment firm seeking an associate for a management-reporting team within financial operations. The group produces analysis and executive-ready information for senior leadership, with particular attention to compensation and the economics of the management business.

The role deliberately combines recurring operational responsibility with more interpretive analytical work. You will help keep sensitive core processes accurate and dependable, while contributing to models and reporting that support planning and leadership decisions. It is a good fit for someone who takes pride in precise execution but also wants to understand and explain the commercial meaning behind the data.

The Role

• Deliver recurring compensation, accounting, operational, and reporting activities, including data preparation, reconciliation, and related controls.
• Contribute to compensation models, variance analysis, trend reporting, and bespoke analysis for senior decision-makers.
• Work across high-volume workflows and complex transactions, maintaining accuracy and composure when several deadlines compete.
• Anticipate stakeholder and team needs, investigating issues proactively and ensuring critical processes continue without interruption.
• Support improvements to workflows through automation, better technology adoption, and thoughtful use of generative AI.
• Manage confidential financial and compensation information with consistently strong judgment and discretion.

What We're Looking For

• At least two years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, or another closely related field.
• Strong Excel-based analysis and reporting skills, with the accuracy required for compensation and accounting-related work.
• Excellent organisation, close attention to detail, and a dependable approach to recurring responsibilities.
• The ability to balance operational execution with analysis, learning unfamiliar processes quickly and identifying what stakeholders will need next.

Desirable Experience
