Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Management Liability Claims Specialist to handle EPL, D&O, fiduciary, and crime claims for private and non-profit clients. The role requires analyzing coverage, negotiating with defense counsel, and developing strategy across offices in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of management liability experience or 9+ years in claims with litigation. Travel ~1 day per month; licensure as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of management liability claims experience or 9+ years of claims experience with litigation exposure.
• Proven coverage analysis skills and experience drafting coverage position letters.
• Experience handling litigated files and directing defense counsel; strong negotiation skills.
• Licensure as required by state(s); ability to travel approximately 1 day per month.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Handle Management Liability Claims (EPL, D&O, Fiduciary, Crime) for Private/Non-Profit clients.
• Analyze, investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims within authority; manage defense budgets.
• Direct and manage defense counsel; develop litigation strategy and attend mediations/trials.
• Verify applicable coverage; prepare reports reflecting loss exposure and strategies.
• Maintain 24-hour contact with stakeholders; support business partners as needed.
• Maintain required licenses; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
