Job summary

IAT Insurance Group seeks a Management Liability Claims Specialist to handle EPL, D&O, fiduciary, and crime claims for private and nonprofit clients. This role is located in an IAT office with a hybrid schedule, working in the office Monday–Wednesday and remotely on Thursday and optional Friday.

Core duties include analyzing coverage, negotiating with defense counsel, preparing complex reports, and ensuring timely reserves while maintaining licenses. Travel is minimal (about 1 day per month).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of management liability claims experience including EPL, D&O and fiduciary coverages.
• Equivalent experience defined as 9+ years of relevant claims experience, including litigation.
• Excellent coverage analysis skills with experience drafting coverage position letters.
• Experience handling litigated files and directing defense counsel.
• Excellent negotiation skills and oral/written communication.
• Willing to travel, average 1 day a month.
• Licensure as required by state(s).
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• CPCU and other insurance related studies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Handle Management Liability Claims (EPL, D&O, Fiduciary, and Crime) for private and nonprofit clients.
• Analyze, investigate, negotiate and resolve claims within authority.
• Direct defense counsel and manage budgets.
• Develop litigation strategy and attend mediations, settlements and trials.
• Verify coverage and draft coverage letters to stakeholders.
• Prepare reports including Large Loss Reports reflecting loss development and exposure.
• Maintain 24-hour contact with stakeholders throughout the life of the claim.
• Identify recovery opportunities and set timely loss/expense reserves.
• Draft correspondence and support underwriting and marketing efforts.
• Maintain adjuster licenses as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
