City of Shreveport is seeking a Management Analyst III to perform complex analyses of budgets, programs, and management practices across city departments. You will review methods, procedures, and organizational structures to identify efficiency gains and performance improvements.
The role requires strong research, survey design, data interpretation, and the ability to present written and oral reports to leadership. Advancement opportunities exist through the management services directorate.
Management Analyst work activities are divided into three classes. Management Analyst III is the third and highest or senior level class to which Management Analysts are allocated.
Management Analyst III work Summary: Performs complex technical work involving budget and management investigations, surveys, research, and related work in reviewing methods, procedures, policies, organizations of various city programs departments; designs and conducts complex organizations surveys and program evaluation for the purpose of recommending improvements in performance, coordination, efficiency, and control of city activities; designs, develops and implements revised management and budget procedures; recommends action effecting broad policy and procedural changes.
Tasks typically require reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
