Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center – Breast Health in Illinois is seeking a Mammography/Ultrasound Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging for physician-referred patients, following established MQSA Quality Guidelines and ACR protocols.

You will document images electronically, position the breast for optimal views, instruct patients, ensure radiation safety, and contribute to pre-, intra-, and post-procedure education while supporting radiologists with accurate notes and

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Breast Sonography ARRT eligible.
• 1-2 years experience as Radiologic Technologist or sonographer.
• 40 hours of specialized training and continuing education in mammography.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy.
• Ability to handle anxious and fearful patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and ultrasound per protocols.
• Accurately documents images electronically.
• Position breast to obtain standard/alternative views; assist with optimal ultrasound factors.
• Instructs patients and maintains radiation protection standards.
• Maintains QA/QC and adheres to MQSA guidelines.
