Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA Approved Program in Radiologic Technology.
• 1-2 years experience as Radiologic Technologist or sonographer.
• Graduate of a Mammography certified program.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols.
• Delivers patient care per department/hospital standards.
• Accurately labels and identifies all images.
• Applies radiation protection to patients.
• Documents patient history using appropriate forms.
• Participates in advanced mammographic procedures (wire localizations, galactograms, stereotactic biopsy).
• Maintains QA testing per MQSA quality control standards.
• Promotes breast health education and awareness.
• Participates in the college of Dupage mammography program and Mammography subcommittee activities.
