Job summary

Solis Mammography in Plano, TX seeks a Mammography Technologist to join our patient-focused team. You will operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography with emphasis on accurate positioning. Hours are Part-Time: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:00am–4:30pm, with 1–2 Saturdays monthly.

Requires Texas Medical Board License (TMB), ARRT Mammography certification (or eligible) and a 2-year Radiologic Technology program. Experience with ultrasound core or stereotactic biopsies is appreciated.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with documented clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements: 15 CEUs every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment for mammography and ensure accurate positioning and exposure.
• Provide patient education and maintain patient-first focus with excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to support breast health imaging services.

Work Hours: (Part-Time) Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays 8:00am-4:30pm (1-2 Saturdays per month depending on Center needs)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
