Job summary

Solis Mammography in Clearlake, TX is seeking a Mammography Technologist PRN to join our patient-focused team. You will operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography diagnostics with accuracy and compassion.

The role requires a TX TMB license, ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, and completion of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program. Prior ultrasound core or stereotactic biopsy experience is a plus, and strong communication with patients and doctors is essential.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligible.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services and support for mammography and diagnostic procedures.
• Promote and demonstrate Solis Way in patient care.
• Maintain excellent positioning and exposure techniques for mammography.
• Effectively communicate procedures to patients and educate about the role of regular mammography.
• Communicate with doctors, patients, and staff.

Work Location: Clearlake, TX

Work Hours: PRN/As Needed Availability Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm (Saturdays Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
